WHAT IS CUET UG 2027?

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG) 2027 is a national-level entrance exam for admission to undergraduate programs in central, state, deemed, and private universities across India. With the aim of inculcating ‘ONE NATION, ONE EXAMINATION ‘ideology, this entrance examination has been designed to offer admissions to students regardless of their domain, caste, ethnicity, economic and financial background.

Every year CUET welcomes more than 15 lakh candidates to compete for admission in more than 500 prestigious universities across all domains. Conducted by the NATIONAL TESTING AGENCY (NTA), it provides a single-window opportunity for students to apply to multiple institutions through one standardized test.
CUET-UG 2027 is the gateway to top universities, like – University of Delhi, Banaras Hindu University, and more through a single entrance examination.

WHAT IS SYLLABUS OF CUET UG 2027?

NTA has neatly defined the language and domain subjects available for students to choose from. Appearing candidates can choose a maximum of 5 Language and/or Domain Subjects. The following charts define the Language and Domain Subjects available to aspirants along with themes of all three section that commonly appear in the CUET-UG entrance exam.

PAPER-1 Language

The Language section of the CUET-UG exam evaluates candidates on their reading comprehension skills based on different types of passages, including factual, literacy and narrative. PAPER-2 Domain Subjects

In the Domain Subject section, a total of 23 subjects is offered by NTA for CUET-UG. For these programs, admissions are to be made on the basis of performances in the General Aptitude test. The syllabus for Domain Subjects is based on the syllabus of Class 12th.

WHAT IS EXAM PATTERN OF CUET UG 2027?

Divided among three sections, the CUET-UG Exam Pattern consists of 13 Indian Language, 23 Domain specific subjects and General Aptitude Test, amounting to 37 subjects in total.

Candidates can choose up to a maximum of 5 subjects including language and general aptitude test irrespective of the subjects opts in class 12th. CUET-UG format recommend that the candidates may select the subjects based on the eligibility criteria for a programmed of a desired University.

WHAT ARE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR CUET UG 2027 EXAMINATION?

Before applying for CUET-UG  2027, candidates must meet certain eligibility requirements set by the NTA ( NATIONAL TESTING AGENCY ) and the participating universities. These criteria typically include educational qualification , subject requirements and other specific conditions. Meeting these requirements is mandatory to appear for the exam and secure admission.

It is mandatory that the aspirant meets the basic eligibility requirements in order to appear for CUET-UG 2027 :-

  • Qualification: Class 12 pass or appearing in 2027 from a recognized board.
  • Minimum Marks: 45% (General) and 40% (SC/ST/OBC).
  • Age Limit: No age restrictions

Yes, NCERT is the primary and most important source, especially for domain subjects. However, practicing MCQs and mock tests is equally necessary.

On average, 3–5 hours of focused study is sufficient if done consistently along with proper revision and practice.

3. When should I start giving mock tests?

You should start mock tests after completing basic syllabus once, and then increase frequency closer to the exam.
